Tim Huber is the Sports Tourism Director for the City of Myrtle Beach. He joined the city in 2008 and played a key role in the City’s growth and transition to a Parks, Recreation and Sports Tourism Department. The Sports Tourism Division he leads serves event owners and organizers who are interested in bringing athletes, staff, family and friends to the Grand Strand for a memorable experience, both on and off the playing field. His team is responsible for contracts and reservations for the city’s fields and stadiums, as well as actively facilitating memorable experiences. Additionally, the team is responsible for planning and executing the city-owned track & field Spring Break Meets.
Originally from Western New York, Tim earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Sport/Sports Management from the State University at Brockport. Prior to relocating to South Carolina, he spent over 10 years in Olympic Winter Sports event marketing and management in Lake Placid, NY.
A huge sports fan, Tim enjoys traveling with family and friends to the next big adventure.
