Special thanks to Legends Event Center for hosting our inaugural Community Playmaker Summit!

Bryan, Texas will be the host of Community Playmaker’s Summit: TX on Thursday, October 19th. For this informative event, local community leaders will gather together to share and learn about the best ideas and innovations in community recreation, sports tourism, and how it all adds to economic development.

Panel Discussion – Leveraging the Event Trust Fund

Sports and events have proven economic impact across the country and especially here in TX. Listen as our expert panel shares the experience leveraging the Event Trust Fund to support tourism in their communities. Panel includes Gene Cervenka, Deputy Director of Economic Development & Tourism, Chris Massey, Vice President of Harris County Houston Sports Authority, and Josh Dill, Director of Sports & Events of Visit Frisco, moderated by SFC Regional Vice President, JD Wood.

NIL Rules and Regulations

The new NCAA guidelines have complicated sponsorships, and we all seek to do right by the athletes. Have you considered how your city can develop connections with popular NCAA’s top athletes? Dr. Natasha Brison, Sports Management Professor at Texas A&M University will share real-world cases and help you envision new partnerships.

The Journey from Concept to Success for Legends Event Center

Learn how this beautiful facility went from great idea to grand opening. This discussion will be led by Ashley Whittaker, Editor in Chief for Playmaker Magazine and will feature Legends Event Center Communications Manager Mitchell Isbell, Ross Bjork, Athletic Director of Texas A&M University, and Mayor Bobby Gutierrez of the City of Bryan, TX.

Tour of Legends Event Center

Led by Legends Event Center staff, this tour will cover key elements of the facility, operations, and proven outcomes.

Wrap-Up & Networking Time
