In this issue, we bring you stories from around the country demonstrating the vision and resourcefulness required to lead game-changing, quality-of-life initiatives. Features include a profile of longtime and retiring Gatlinburg, TN City Manager, Cindy Ogle, who led her city through the lows of wildfires and the heights of sports tourism. We talk about the demand for walkable cities and what some cities are doing to meet it. And the rebirth of the passenger rail, from investment at the federal level with ARPA funds to local demand, it’s time to get ready for the next generation of trains.
