Andrea Lee is an experienced recreation administrator with a strong background in community programming for all age groups, with an emphasis on geriatrics for the past eight years.
With over 14 years of recreational services, she has proven to be an effective leader who excels at using proven innovative methods and cutting-edge resources to implement successful programs, streamline operations, and increase productivity.
Andrea Lee is also an accomplished athlete and passionate advocate for pickleball. In 2001, she transitioned from basketball to pickleball and quickly realized that although the sport is accessible to all, it can be difficult to master. Recognizing its potential and within her first year of playing Andrea initiated a program teaching individuals aged 60 and above about pickleball. Encouraged by Paul Midkiff, President of the Macon Pickleball Association, Lee entered her first tournament in September 2001. Marking the beginning of her competitive journey. Since then, she won numerous gold medals and earned, recognition as one of the in the top twenty women players for the 2023 year awarded by Southern Pickleball Association.
Her love for the game helped her transition her career from senior recreational services to becoming the full-time Sports Facility Manager at Rhythm and Rally in Macon, GA in January 2024. She is excited to continue serving the Macon-Bibb community and surrounding areas at the world’s largest indoor pickleball facility.
Prior to her professional career, Andrea Lee was a 4-year collegiate athlete. She Graduated from Georgia College and State University in 2003 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. During her time in college, she played women’s basketball and was named “Player of the Year” in 2001 and “Conference Player of the Year” in 2002. She also interned with the District Attorney’s office. After completing her studies, Lee began serving as a Victim’s Advocate with the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit for five years before making the transition to City of Macon (Bibb-County Parks and Recreation Department.
With a diverse background spanning from criminal justice to health and wellness, Andrea Lee brings a unique blend of skills, experience, and passion to her role, enhancing community engagement at Rhythm and Rally in Macon, Georgia.
